It is, of course, a possible scenario. My belief is that the network and infrastructure advantages Uber has built up are being underappreciated by the market. I like to compare Uber to Visa and Mastercard. Despite numerous efforts to bypass these payment rails, none have succeeded because these advantages are simply too valuable to both merchants and consumers.
